The Pyongyang Floriculture Institute in the DPRK dedicated to study and cultivation of flowers is fully provided with material and technical foundations.
The site of the institute was personally set by Chairman Kim Jong Il who cared much for the effort to make the whole country bright with all sorts of flowers.
In order to translate the noble desire of the Chairman into reality, Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un visited the research institute and suggested measures to grow many beautiful flowers which take an important part in the cultural and emotional life of the working people, and said that mothers would be delighted if their children buy them flowers on the Mother`s Day.
The institute has achieved successes in the research and production of world-famous flowering species and those that can be easily grown at families. It also mass-produces beautiful flowering plants and supplies them to urban management units and flower shops and stands in Pyongyang.
