Production has been put on a scientific, intensive and industrial basis on a high level at the Pyongyang Catfish Farm in the DPRK.
Chairman Kim Jong Il selected the site of the farm, named it “The Pyongyang Catfish Farm” and sent equipment needed for its operation to it.
Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un visited the farm in Juche 103(2014) and again in October the next year after it was modernized to give important instructions on how to produce more catfish.
In recent years the farm has renewed its peak production records two times.
The fish produced at the farm is regularly supplied to the schools for orphans, baby home, orphanage, old people`s home and commercial and public catering networks in Pyongyang.
