National Symphony Orchestra Gives Concert

The National Symphony Orchestra gave a concert “Socialist Symphony” on October 10 at Pyongyang’s Moranbong Theatre in celebration of the 21st anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il’s election as general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and the 73rd founding anniversary of the WPK.

Present there were officials of the Workers’ Party of Korea, the DPRK government, the Korean People’s Army, ministries, national agencies and Pyongyang municipal organizations as well as persons of meritorious deeds.

Started with the prelude “Brilliant Motherland” and “Patriotic Song”, the concert splendidly reflected the history of the DPRK which has been strengthened and developed into an invincible state with inexhaustible power and bright future that is shining brilliantly with the august name of the sun under the wise leadership of the WPK.

World-famous music pieces were also staged at the concert.

It received an ovation from the audience for its high ideological and artistic value and refined techniques of performers.
