Visit to Chairman Kim Jong Il”s Birthplace

Participants in the Fifth International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt Paektu toured Chairman Kim Jong Il’s birthplace in the Paektusan Secret Camp on August 14.

They laid a basket of flowers and bouquets in front of the mosaic mural depicting the three commanders of Mt Paektu in the camp.

They went round the Headquarters log cabin, barracks, shallow well which had been used by anti-Japanese war heroine Kim Jong Suk, and others while recollecting the precious revolutionary life of Chairman Kim Jong Il who was born as the son of guerrillas with the spirit and energy of Mt Paektu and adorned the protracted course of the Juche revolution with victory and glory.

Earlier, they made the rounds of the Samjiyon Grand Monument showing the anti-Japanese revolutionary exploits of President Kim Il Sung for all generations.
