A meeting for celebrating the 75th founding anniversary of the Workers’ Party of Korea was held at Kim Il Sung Square in the capital city of Pyongyang on October 10.
The tribune of honour was taken by Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, first vice-chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and president of the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK; Ri Pyong Chol, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, vice-chairman of the WPK Central Military Commission and vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee; Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee and premier of the Cabinet of the DPRK; and Pak Pong Ju, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee, vice-chairman of the SAC of the DPRK and vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee.
It was also taken by Kim Jae Ryong and other members of the leadership body of the WPK Central Committee.
Pak Jong Chon, Kim Su Gil, Kim Jong Gwan and other commanding officers of armed forces organs were present on the tribune.
Present at the special seats on invitation were Kim Yong Nam and other veteran officials who had worked for a long time in the Party, the government and the military.
Present at the reserved seats were delegates to the celebrations for the 75th founding anniversary of the WPK and working people in Pyongyang.
The meeting was declared open.
Adopted at the meeting was a congratulatory message to Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un on the occasion of the 75th founding anniversary of the WPK.
Ri Il Hwan, vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee, read the congratulatory message written in the joint name of the WPK Central Committee, the WPK Central Military Commission, the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK, the Presidium of the Supreme People’s Assembly of the DPRK and the Cabinet of the DPRK.
The congratulatory message expressed the greatest glory and the warmest congratulations reflective of deep reverence and ardent loyalty of all the people for Kim Jong Un, Chairman of the Workers’ Party of Korea, the glorious and invincible revolutionary party, the outstanding leader of the Juche revolution and the great symbol and representative of the dignified State and people.
It highly praised the undying feats etched in the history of the nation the Supreme Leader performed by turning the WPK into the powerful political staff and the great motherly Party and building a grand flower garden of prioritizing the people and an eternal powerful country with the greatest might.
It stressed that the ode to the WPK and the cheers for the Workers’ Party that resound throughout the country in October with great excitement and enthusiasm is an expression of gratitude of all the people of this country to the Supreme Leader, the sun of their destiny and the whole of their life and happiness.
The joint congratulatory message reflecting the unshakable faith and will of the people to single-mindedly trust and follow the Supreme Leader was adopted.

He said that the founding anniversary of the WPK which all the people celebrate with great joy, excitement and the feelings of solemnity and reverence is the revolutionary holiday of pleasure and fortune, on which they cherish once again the happiness and pride that they have the kindest and greatest Party.
He noted that the WPK, which has carried on the journey of the revolution upholding the sacred fighting programme for accomplishing the great cause for independence of the popular masses and the building of a prosperous and powerful country, has brought about great victory and change unprecedented in the nation’s history spanning 5 000 years by leading the State and the people along the most correct path.
Under the leadership of Kim Jong Un endowed with far-reaching wisdom and unusual and gifted disposition, the WPK has developed into the invincible, militant general staff which makes advance with confidence in the vanguard of the era of independence, holding high the modelling of the whole society on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism as the supreme programme and into the promising revolutionary Party in the struggle for materializing the dreams and ideals of the people.
He called for devotedly safeguarding the party-building idea and feats of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and making vigorous advance for our State and people and for the victory of the sacred revolutionary cause of Juche.
