A Fountain Park Brightened

It was one day in May 1978.

That night Chairman Kim Jong Il stopped his car suddenly in front of the fountain park around the Mansudae Art Theatre and asked officials if the park seemed to be rather dim.

As officials did not give an answer to him quickly, Chairman looked them round and said that anyone wouldn’t be likely to get his photo taken at night under the light and the people would be pleasant if they went out for a walk to get photos taken under the bright light, so they should lay out the park nicely.

That day the Chairman asked about the number and volume of floodlights to be installed at the park, saying that they should make the illuminators in the park to be as bright as floodlights in the stadium.

Like this, the loving care of the Chairman for people is marked even in the brightened fountain park.
