One March day in Juche 106 (2017), the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited Mangyongdae Revolutionary School to plant trees with its students.
Students, full of high spirits with the delight of meeting the fatherly Marshal, buckled down to digging holes for planting trees. Admiringly looking at them, Kim Jong Un said that they must become the backbone of the revolutionary armed forces in the future, and planted trees together with them.
That day, stressing the need to carry forward not only the baton of the revolution but patriotism, he said to the officials in the following vein:
Through the course of planting trees, you should imbue the students with the feeling of attachment to the mountains and rivers of the country and the attitude befitting masters of all these wealth. Only when one has warm love for the country from one’s childhood, can one become a true patriot and a genuine worker desired by the Party who does any work oneself for the prosperity of the country at any post assigned by the Party in the future.
