In April Juche 104 (2015), the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the construction site of a power station, which was being built by young people, in the area of Mt Paektu far away from the capital city of Pyongyang.
After speaking highly of the young builders for having done much work even under the difficult conditions, he said to the officials: The Party would solve all problems arising in the construction of the power station. You should conduct vigorous political work and socialist emulation drive to give full play to the inexhaustible strength of the youth shock brigade members, and make scrupulous arrangements to push ahead with the construction in a three-dimensional way so as to attain the goals of each stage and each project as scheduled.
In September Juche 104 (2015), he visited the construction site of Unit 1 of the power station before its inauguration. Saying that all the young people were heroes, he named the power station Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station.
After looking at the dam of the power station from several places, he said: We can never measure with any measurement unit the height of the dam built by the ideological and spiritual spirit of our young people; the height of the dam of Unit 1 of the Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station is the height of the patriotism of our young people and the height of the youth power.
When visiting the completed Unit 3 of the Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station in April Juche 105 (2016), he expressed great satisfaction over the fact that the young builders had built units 1, 2 and 3 of the Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station in one year and thus demonstrated once again the indomitable spiritual power and inexhaustible strength of the Korean youth who goes through fire and water in response to the Party’s call.
Then he gave them thanks in the name of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
