Spare Nothing for Renovating Children’s Camps

One May day in Juche 102 (2013), the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the Pyongyang Municipal Schoolchildren’s Camp in Mt Myohyang.

Looking round several places of the camp, he learned in detail about the temperature of bedrooms, supply of bedding, laundering, and the camping life of children with a parental affection.

Noting that the camp should be renovated well for children to acquire profound knowledge of practical application, collecting animal and plant specimens during their camping life, he asked his accompanying officials to build a video room for disseminating new knowledge and information and screening science films. He added that he would send better cultural and amusement facilities and pianos.

While familiarizing himself with the preparation of food for campers in the mess hall, he underlined the need to establish a well-knit system of supplying not only condiments but meat, eggs, vegetables and other materials as required by the prescribed norm and provide it with advanced kitchen utensils.

After a while, he proposed rebuilding the camp afresh, instead of renovating it. Noting that investment should not be spared for doing it even if there were mountains of affairs to do for socialist construction, he stated that it was the Party’s determination to renovate in a splendid way all other camps, children’s palaces and halls across the country.

Later, the camp was turned into a base for extracurricular activities of schoolchildren in Pyongyang, in which they began to enjoy happy camping life.
