On the morning of New Year`s Day, one year, when he sat together with the officials, Chairman Kim Jong Il said that whenever he greeted New Year’s Day every year, he was very worried about how the people were celebrating the holiday. And he told them that it was always on his mind and so he went round Pyongyang.
That day, he said all his thoughts were on how to provide the people with more and better houses, food and clothing.
Though the whole country was brimming over with joy to greet the first morning of the New Year, his mind was always on the people.
Indeed, he was endowed with love for and devotion to the people.
