Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un visited the Ryuwon Footwear Factory in October last year.
After looking round various places, he expressed great satisfaction at the fact that the factory has put its production lines on an automated and streamlined footing and equipped itself with modern facilities, including laser cutter and uppers cutter, to diversify its products in terms of kind, shape and colour.
When he was told that it manufactured such latest testers for repeated bending, shock force and spikes’ features by its own efforts and technology to ensure strict examination of its products, he stated that inexhaustible is the wisdom of the Korean people.
At a sci-tech learning space, he stressed the need to operate it effectively so as to steadily improve the technical skills of its employees and broaden their intellectual horizons and thus solve the knotty problems in production by dint of science and technology.
He spoke highly of the factory for producing a wide variety of attractive and quality trainers that can match with world-famous ones.
Being told that all its products are made of netted cloth and synthetic leather produced at the Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill and the Phyongsong Artificial Leather Factory, he said he felt encouraged and happy at the sight of shoes made of locally-available materials.
Expressing his great satisfaction with the factory, he said that the buzzing sound for increased production seems to be a powerful song of advance by the service personnel and people who have turned out in their struggle to build a prosperous socialist power on the strength of self-reliance and self-development, full of confidence in sure victory and optimism.
