The 70th anniversary of the Korean People’s Army (February 8) was celebrated throughout the DPRK.
The celebrations in Pyongyang were highlighted by artistic performances of the State Merited Chorus, Moranbong Band, Wangjaesan Art Troupe, Korean People’s Army Song and Dance Ensemble, and artistic groups of the working people’s organizations.
The performers sang highly of the army-building exploits of the peerlessly great men, who founded the Korean People’s Army as a regular army of Juche type and strengthened it into an invincible revolutionary army, thus providing a sure military guarantee for ensuring the lasting prosperity of socialist Korea.
Youth and students gathered at the plazas of the Monument to Party Founding, the Arch of Triumph and other places in Pyongyang to enjoy dancing. Similar events were held in other parts of the country.
