He Counted the Number of Rice Grains in Person

One day in August 2024, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un was on his way back from his field guidance to the construction site of a regional-industry factory. He let his train stop and asked officials to take a few rice stems from a paddy field aside railway and count rice grains.

He was informed that average number of rice grains per head was over 150 and some heads had more than 200 grains. Then, he felt relieved.

The train started again and, after a while, it was passing by water-logged paddy fields.

He had the train stopped again, saying that he wanted to see rice crops in those water-logged paddy fields.

Looking at the heads of rice stems the officials brought, he said that he was going to count how many rice grains were per head and then began counting one grain after another in person.

Rice grains in a head are totally less than a handful. However, what he counted was not the number of rice grains and their weight only, but the people’s livelihood and a lot of thoughts he has to realize for raising good crops.

The pains and labors he has taken without feeling relieved even for a while to solve the food problem of people are indeed stamped even in the small paddy field of a farm.
