On August 15, 1945 the Korean people celebrated the liberation of the country with great joys.
Since then, the Law on Agrarian Reform, Labor Law, Act on Nationalization of Major Industries aimed to ensure the working people the democratic rights and the Law on Sex Equality to emancipate women from centuries-old bondages were promulgated.
Cheers of “Long Live General Kim Il Sung!” and “Long Live the Country’s Liberation!” that men and women of all ages burst out on the day when decades of national sufferings came to an end and a radical change was made in shaping the destiny of the country is still resounding in the heart of the Korean people.
