In October 17 Juche 15 (1926) President Kim Il Sung organized the Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU) with a firm resolve to smash down imperialism and build an independent world.
Principle of independence put forward by DIU became the principle to be maintained at the Party`s building and activities and the youths raised by DIU played a pivotal role in the work for founding the Party in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. In one word, DIU is the root of the Workers’ Party of Korea.
