A ceremony for awarding certificates to delegates to the 8th Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea took place on December 30.
Seen at the venue of the ceremony were sacred red flags of the WPK.
First, certificates were courteously awarded to the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, founder and builder of the glorious Party, at the ceremony in reflection of the unanimous will and ardent desire of millions of members of the Party and all other Korean people.
When it was declared that certificates were awarded to the great leaders, all the participants in the ceremony passionately applauded as a token of support.
They were gripped by great emotion with which they are to greet the Party Congress, invariably upholding the great leaders as great delegates to the Party Congress as in their lifetime.
Kim Jae Ryong, member of the Political Bureau of the WPK Central Committee and vice-chairman of the WPK Central Committee who is the chairman of the preparatory committee for the 8th Congress of the WPK, said in excitement that the hearts of all the participants were full of ardent yearning for the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, peerlessly great men and patriots, great sages of the revolution and the Sun of Juche, at the time of glory when they were awarded the certificates.
It is the requirement of the Party and the revolution and the unanimous aspiration and will and right obligation of all the Party members and other people to uphold the great leaders, who are always alive in their hearts as spiritual mainstay and instilling in them the indomitable faith and the will to struggle, as the great delegates to the Party Congress as in their lifetime to adopt the line and strategy for achieving a new victory in the revolution, he stressed.
He said that the 8th Congress of the WPK comes to be an important political event which will mark another milestone for a fresh turn in the history of the glorious Party as it will set forth the line of struggle and strategic and tactical policies to surely put the cause of building a socialist power onto the next stage of victory.
He stressed that the certificates of delegates to the 8th Congress of the WPK are the reflection of deep political trust and expectation of the Party Central Committee that expects them to display boundless devotion and self-sacrificing spirit in implementing the Party’s policies, being conscious of important responsibilities before the Party and the revolution with the great honour and pride.
He called upon all the delegates to make positive contribution to glorifying the Congress as a historic one for fully demonstrating the dignity and prestige of the WPK before the world and for laying a firm springboard for a new victory of the revolution.
Awarded to the participants were the certificates carrying the portraits of smiling great leaders along with the sacred Party emblem, symbol of all victories and glory.
