The reunion of separated families and relatives from the north and the south held at the Mt Kumgang Resort as part of practical measures for implementing the historic Panmunjom Declaration came to an end.
The reunion took place from August 20 to 26.
At the second reunion that began from August 24, those from the north and the south recollected with emotion the past with a joy at the reunion of blood relations whom they have longed for since national division.
They attended the reception arranged by the south side’s Red Cross society.
At the end of the reunion they promised to meet again on the day of national reunification before saying goodbye.
