It happened on the April holiday in Juche 81(1992).
Chairman Kim Jong Il came to the photographing site together with President Kim Il Sung in order to have a picture taken with members of Chongryon (General Association of Korean Residents in Japan) heroes` delegation on a visit to Pyongyang on the occasion of the 80th birth anniversary of the President.
On his way to the photographing stand while waving back to the thunderous cheers of the Chongryon heroes, the Chairman suddenly stopped and called an official to ask why old persons stood in the back as he pointing the stand.
The official hesitated to answer because the aged heroes and their wives came to stand in the back as cadres stood in the front line.
The Chairman gave a light scolding to the official and told him to stand to the front the old people who took the back line.
With the Chairman watching, there was a change of position. It took a long time, but he waited until the Chongryon heroes took their seats near the President and then asked to have a picture taken with a bright smile on his face.
The change of seats also shows a phase of great personality of the Chairman who boundlessly respects revolutionary forerunners.
