A celebratory meeting of Russian social organizations took place at the building of the Russian Veterans’ Union on August 12 on the 80th anniversary of national liberation.
It was attended by personages from the Russian Association for Friendship and Cultural Cooperation with the DPRK, Korean War Veterans’ Council, Russian Veterans’ Union, Foreign Ministry, Academy of Sciences and other units and members of the Group for International Solidarity with the DPRK.
Speakers mentioned at the meeting that the 80th anniversary of Korea’s liberation is a common holiday of the DPRK people as well as world progressive peoples.
With emphasis that owing to the outstanding art of command of President Kim Il Sung the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army could defeat the Japanese aggressors armed to the teeth without the state backing, they spoke that they paid highest tribute to the President who gave national liberation to the Korean people and solidified the basis for prosperity of the country.
Speaking that the Korean people showed that only the people who were led by the outstanding leader were able to overcome any difficulties and advance along the road chosen by themselves, they highly eulogized that the Korean people were achieving miracles in various sectors under the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to the wonder of the world.
