An artistic performance was given with splendour at the April 25 House of Culture in Pyongyang to congratulate the commanding officers and combatants of the overseas operation units of the Korean People’s Army who performed immortal feats in the sacred battle for defending the dignity and honour of the powerful DPRK.
The venue of the performance was full of boundless respect and ardent praise for the brave soldiers who participated in the war to demonstrate before the world the mettle of the Korean people who do not compromise with injustice and win only victory in every battle and the immortal appellation of our army by fully displaying the peculiar ideological and spiritual superiority of remaining absolutely loyal to the leadership of the Workers’ Party of Korea, matchless bravery and heroic self-sacrificing spirit.
Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the Workers’ Party of Korea and president of the State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, enjoyed the performance together with the commanding officers and combatants of the overseas operation units.
After arriving at the venue of the performance, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un laid a flower before the memorial wall erected in the central hall and paid noble tribute to the martyrs who will be immortal in the memory of the country and the people as the eternal stars.
Saying that the patriotic deeds of the brave soldiers who participated in the war to fully demonstrate before the whole world the mightiness of the KPA through the overseas military operations would be conveyed long through generations, he had a photo taken with the leading commanding officers who skilfully led the units to victory in overseas military operations.
Among the audience were bereaved families of the martyrs, officials of the Party Central Committee, commanding officers of the Ministry of National Defence, military and political commanding officers of the large combined units of the KPA, officials of ministries, national agencies and Pyongyang Municipality and working people.
When Kim Jong Un appeared in the auditorium, all the participants broke into stormy cheers of “hurrah!” looking up to the iron-willed brilliant commander who trained our People’s Army into the strongest revolutionary armed forces in the world that are overwhelming any formidable enemy ideologically, mentally, militarily and technologically with his outstanding military strategic idea, extraordinary commanding art and great trust and love and put the army on the highest level of the times.
The performers paid high tribute to the combat heroes in Kim Jong Un’s era who demonstrated the fame of our state and set a good example of indomitable heroic mettle and fighting spirit of our army with legendary military feats while enthusiastically singing songs about the motherland that the combatants had never forgotten even in their dreams and songs about the invincible revolutionary army.
The numbers representing the loyalty and patriotism of the heroes who devoted their lives to our great Party, the inexhaustible might of our great state and the peace and happiness of our great people highly demonstrated the fact that the brilliant world-shaking war results of the KPA are the gains of the great ideological firmness, the precious tradition of the Korean revolution which was pioneered and has emerged victorious on the strength of ideology.
The participants were filled with solemn emotion, watching a video showing the feats of the brave soldiers who proved with the unheard-of legendary tales of miracles the iron faith that peace is defended only by absolute strength and the representative of justice should possess the matchless strength to resolutely wipe out all injustice and showed with their heroic choice how a soldier of the Korean People’s Army should live for the country and what he should leave for the sake of the country.
When the songs Stars of the Motherland, We Will Remember and Only Victory in memory of the brave soldiers who participated in the war resounded, all the audience warmly recollected with deep emotion the indomitable images of the brave soldiers who ardently loved their motherland, dedicated themselves in response to the call of the motherland and made the enemies shudder by displaying mass heroism and matchless self-sacrificing spirit which have never been found, seen or heard in any other armies in the world.
The audience enthusiastically acclaimed the performance pulsating with the firm faith and indomitable stamina of the service personnel of the People’s Army to continuously write a proud heroic biography for all generations to come by developing the heroic spirit of the generation of army founding and the victorious wartime generation onto a higher level in the new era of building a powerful army when our revolutionary armed forces are demonstrating the greatest heyday of their development.
When the performance was over, the audience broke into enthusiastic cheers again, looking up to Kim Jong Un.
Kim Jong Un warmly shook hands with each of the brave soldiers cheering at the top of their voices with great emotion and encouraged them.
