In May 1944, the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army soldiers were training airborne landing at a Far Eastern training center. One day they were quite surprised to see President Kim Il Sung appearing on the training field in his parachute uniform in order to show his model action to them.
They blocked his way as they were anxious about his personal safety. However, the President did not hesitate boarding an airplane, saying that if he did not take part in airborne landing exercise, how he could ask and guide them to train airborne landing.
That day soldiers got a great impact and encouraged from his practical model and took part in training more energetically with redoubled courage and could make a good success in the later airborne landing.
