At midnight of October 25, 1950, President Kim Il Sung met soldiers of the People’s Army on their way to night march.
They were so much delighted to see the President, because they were running with a task to defend the Supreme Command.
Saying that he gave an order already to make their regiment go back and follow the division, the President instructed them to overtake their regiment quickly and make headway toward Kusong and retake Pyongyang in occupation of the enemy at the earliest.
Looking at the President with tears, as he was going to direct their sense of loyalty to defend the security of the Supreme Command toward victory in the front while thinking first the fate of the country and nation before himself, all the soldiers chorused that they could overcome any barriers and achieve victory as long as Comrade Supreme Commander would be quite well.
Holding high one of his hands, the President said: “That’s just the way our People’s Army are. I am really cheerful” and he also said with certainty that since we had such an excellent People’s Army we were sure to win victory.
“We Serve Comrade Supreme Commander!”
An oath of faith made by soldiers in excitement rang out loudly.
