One day in March 2000, Chairman Kim Jong Il visited his birthplace in the Paektusan Secret Camp.
That day officials asked the Chairman earnestly to leave his solo photograph taken in front of his native home.
The Chairman looked from one official to another and said that we had a lot of things to do for the revolution and for the people and that when our people were all better off with nothing to envy in the world, he then would get a photo taken with a delightful mind.
The Chairman usually did not forget Mt. Paektu and kept in mind the dear courtyard of his native home, but engraved more deeply the mission he had assumed on behalf of the country and revolution.
Although his solo photograph did not remain in the history, a new fantastic era was opened on this land, thereby fulfilling the desire of the Chairman.
