In December of a year Chairman Kim Jong Il gave his field guidance to Jagang Province and dropped into Kanggye House of Chicken Entrails Soup.
As he looked round the wonderful House satisfactorily and went out of it, the Chairman stopped his walking in front of the square staircase covered with stones ground so brightly as mirror.
Officials looked quite pleasing as they looked down at the staircase. But the Chairman advised them in a low tone that if the floor was as slippery as this staircase, people would likely slide going up and downstairs in winter.
Officials were so impressed as they saw the Chairman take his deep interest even in a staircase to be treaded upon by ordinary people.
Soon afterwards, the staircase was replaced into the granite staircase by the careful instruction of the great father, so the people found no discomfort when they went up and downstairs.
