One day several years ago, the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited the Sunchon Chemical Complex to look round a newly-built acrylic paint production line.
He spoke highly of the fact that its workers established the line in a Korean style and that they designed and manufactured all the equipment and facilities by themselves. He stressed that he was thrillingly happy to see the new line not only because he saw a Korean-style acrylic paint production but because he keenly felt that the country could put chemical industry on a Juche-oriented and modern basis at high levels by dint of its own efforts, technology and raw materials if it buckled down to it with determination.
Then he said to the accompanying officials: If one believes in oneself, thousands of miles will look to be an inch and, if not, even an inch will look to be thousands of miles.
