One December day in Juche 102 (2013), the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un inspected the Masikryong Ski Resort nearing completion.
Looking round several places of the resort in spite of biting cold, he said to the officials that what was fundamental to the project was, to all intents and purposes, to perfect facilities necessary for skiing, including ski runs and chairlifts.
Then, he said he would ride a chairlift, whose trial run had yet to be conducted.
When officials repeatedly asked him to refrain from doing so, he said he would feel relieved only after confirming himself the safety and convenience of chairlift by riding it as it would be used by the people and youth and children, and got on it.
After learning about the conditions of ski runs, he instructed to make the floor of chairlift a little higher for convenience.
He then requested architects to correct unreasonable designs in time after learning themselves about them on the spot in the course of construction, not content with the design offered once, and to carefully examine all facilities in the resort lest people and youth and children should experience any slightest inconvenience there.
