One October day in Juche 102 (2013), the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un attended the inauguration ceremony of apartment houses for lecturers of Kim Il Sung University and looked round them.
In a living room of a house, he asked the accompanying officials to quickly assemble a stand of LCD TV set he had brought with him so that he could see its installation before leaving the place. Then he added: Today the inauguration ceremony of apartment houses for lecturers of Kim Il Sung University was held splendidly. The Party ensured that the best apartment houses were built for educators of the university and a splendid national ceremony was held for its inauguration. This demonstrated once again our Party’s idea of prioritizing science, education and talents.
With a view to providing educators with wonderful houses as early as possible, he had already visited the construction site of the project two times and took necessary measures to this end. And that day, he dropped in at a new house with souvenirs he had prepared.
After a while when the installation of TV set was finished, he expressed great satisfaction as it matched well with the size of the living room.
Pointing to a carton of hard glass dishes by the TV set, he said he had thought, even at midnight, what he could prepare more for lecturers and researchers of the university who would move into new houses, and so he brought those dishes with him, adding that they should be put in the sideboard of this house.
In October next year, he looked round the completed apartment houses for lecturers of Kim Chaek University of Technology. He said he was satisfied at the thought that such wonderfully completed apartment houses were to be provided to its educators.
He added: If scientists live in such houses, they will be well aware of the expectations of the Party which trusts in them and puts them forward, and make redoubled efforts in their scientific research. They should always bear in their mind the plan and intention of the Party to build a people’s paradise by dint of science and make strenuous efforts to this end.
