Election System of the DPRK Is Really Superior

The Socialist Constitution of the DPRK stipulates that all citizens over 17 years old have rights to elect and to be elected irrespective of gender, nationality, profession, length of residence, property status, education, party affiliation, political views and religion.

A few years ago, Morten Traavik, director of Traavik Arts Interventions Development of Norway looked round a polling station in Pyongyang during his stay in the DPRK. He said that he was lucky to visit the polling station and correctly understood the election system of the DPRK and that he was deeply excited to see that ordinary people such as workers, farmers and intellectuals are elected deputies who deal with the state affairs of the country. Finally, he concluded that the election system of the DPRK is really wonderful as the people are free to express their will and that he would let Westerners know about it.
