Even a Trifling Matter

It happened when Chairman Kim Jong Il looked round a factory hostel.

Going up to the second floor, he stopped abruptly and repeated going down and up some stairs a few times.

Each time he stepped onto the stairs, they creaked as they were made of woods.

He said that such a noise would make trouble to the workers who returned after a night work and slept.

Saying that the officials should take good care of the workers without missing even a trifling matter, the Chairman advised them to replace the wooden stairs by concrete stairs and cover them with artificial granules.
