The Uam Northern Fur Seal Reserve in the Rason area, the state seal reserve, is home to spotted seals and northern fur seals.
Seen here are spotted seals and northern fur seals lying on their back at their leisure on the big rocks, crawling on the rocks to slip into the sea or swimming away riding on the waves.
The tranquil forests, clear lakes, swamps and a vast stretch of seashore unfold an extraordinary variety of fauna and flora of the Rason area: wild animals including roe deer, squirrel, fox and lynx, various species of insects, aquatic animals and indigenous plants like Sonbong linden, cherry tree of Mt Uam, a living monument, and songi mushroom.
