It is one of the important policies of the DPRK government to bring up the children at state expense.
With the adoption of the Law on the Nursing and Upbringing of Children in April Juche 65(1976), all the Korean children are brought up, receiving cultural and scientific care and education at nurseries and kindergartens provided with full conditions for improving their health and developing rich emotion and intelligence.
Many foreigners express their envy, saying that the Korean children are truly the king of the country, as they witness the surprising reality that everything for the younger generation is regarded as the most important affair of the Party and state and nothing is spared for them on the principle of “the best for children”.
