It stands at the foot of Jong Il Peak.
Chairman Kim Jong Il, the great leader of the Korean people, was born in this humble log cabin on February 16, Juche 31 (1942).
Preserved here are the relics he used in his childhood. Near the native home there is a monument inscribed with the Poem “Shining Star” written by President Kim Il Sung on the occasion of the 50th birth anniversary of Chairman
Kim Jong Il.
