The following happened one midnight in mid-December Juche 90 (2001).
Chairman Kim Jong Il returned to his lodging after finishing his scheduled guidance trip, and had his hair cut at its entrance.
An official happened to see him while passing by the place, and asked him why he had his hair cut at dead of night.
With a smile on his face, the Chairman said he made time to have his hair cut as he had to leave early the next morning to meet with workers and that he felt rather comfortable to lead a life in the field that way.
