A delegation of the Laos-DPRK Friendship Association, officials of the country offices of international organizations in Pyongyang and Jong Il Sim, widow of DPRK Hero An Tong Su laid baskets of flowers at the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il on Mansu Hill to commemorate the 8th anniversary of the demise of the Chairman.
They laid flower baskets at and made bows to the statues of the great leaders who had made immortal contributions to the accomplishment of the independent cause of humankind with extraordinary and seasoned leadership and taken warm care of the bereaved families of revolutionaries and patriotic martyrs with noble revolutionary sense of obligation.
Also laid were the flower baskets from foreign organizations and personages including the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the Asia-Pacific regional committee for supporting the peaceful reunification in Korea, the Switzerland-Korea Committee, the “Tokyo-Pyongyang Rainbow Bridge” of Japan, the chairman and general secretary of the remembrance committee of Generalissimo Kim Jong Il of Ecuador and head of the Kim Jong Il Library in Ecuador.
Written on the ribbons of the flower baskets were letters reading: “The great President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il will be immortal” and “The Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il will live on in the hearts of humankind”.
