The DPRK channels big effort into developing the mobile cage-net fish farming which is a labour- and water-saving fish farming method.
As he gave field guidance at the mobile case-net fish farm newly set up at the Taedong River in November Juche 104(2015), Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un pointed to the need to do cage-net fish farming on a large scale at rivers and lakes including the Taedong River, saying such fish breeding is of great significance in developing fish farming.
In recent years, 150 000 square metres of cage-net fish farms were built at rivers, lakes and reservoirs to do fish farming briskly.
As such modern fish farms turn out much more freshwater fishes with high productivity and good taste, the people actually benefit from them.
