The DPRK significantly celebrated the 129th anniversary of May Day, the international holiday of working people throughout the world.
Senior officials of the WPK and the government celebrated the holiday together with workers, farmers and intellectuals at institutions, factories, enterprises, construction sites, farms and elsewhere including the Chollima Steel Complex, Pyongyang Thermal Power Complex, Taean Heavy Machine Complex, Migok Cooperative Farm in Sariwon, Namhung Youth Chemical Complex and February 8 Jiktong Youth Coal Mine.
They laid baskets of flowers and bouquets before the statues and portraits of smiling images of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il and mosaic murals depicting them and made a bow to them.
They also played various sports and amusement games with working people.
A variety of celebratory events were held in Pyongyang and the provinces to add more to the festive mood in all parts of the country.
