The General Association of Korean Residents in Japan and the General Association of Koreans in China celebrated the 77th birthday of Chairman Kim Jong Il.
Central meetings, lectures, photo exhibitions, artistic performances and other events took place in Japan and China.
The participants recalled in deep impression that Chairman Kim Jong Il had always remembered overseas compatriots, though he was busy leading the revolution and construction and took warm care of them with paternal affection and benevolence, and that overseas Koreans could live in the alien land with pride and spirit as the Korean nation under his care.
