In May Juche 107 (2018), Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un inspected the newly-built Koam-Tapchon Railway.
Feasting his eyes on the spectacular scene of the railway across the rough sea for a while, he said it seemed to see an art piece and highly praised the builders, scientists and technicians for having successfully carried out a difficult and gigantic project with their own efforts.
He repeatedly expressed his satisfaction, saying that the longer he sees the railway, the more pleasant he feels and the more proud it looks and that another valuable edifice has been built on the east coast of the country.
Noting that nothing is impossible for the Korean people dynamically advancing by dint of self-reliance and self-development, science and technology and they do whatever they make up their mind to do, he stressed the need to create and develop everything in Korean style by relying on its own efforts, technology and resources in the future, too.
