The Party and government delegation of the People’s Republic of China visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun on September 8 to pay respects to President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il.
A basket of flowers was laid at the statues of the President and the Chairman in the name of the delegation.
The Chinese guests paid tribute to the great leaders who forged and developed the fraternal ties of friendship and kinship between the two Parties and peoples of the DPRK and China.
They made a deep bow to the great leaders at the halls of immortality where the President and the Chairman lie in state.
They looked round the halls that preserve the orders which are associated with the fervent reverence of the world people and the halls housing sedans, electric car, boat and train coaches the great leaders had used during their field guidance and foreign tours till the last moments of their lives.
Li Zhanshu, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China, made an entry in the visitor’s book which reads, “The revolutionary spirit will be handed down through generations”.
