A remembrance meeting of Chinese families related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle took place on July 5 at the DPRK embassy in Beijing on the occasion of the 24th anniversary of the demise of President Kim Il Sung.
The event brought together the families of those related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, the DPRK ambassador to China and his embassy staff members.
The participants first laid bouquets at the beaming images of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il, and made deep bows to them.
Speeches were made at the meeting.
Zhang Jinlu, daughter of Zhang Weihua, said as she attended the remembrance meeting she felt a growing yearning for President Kim Il Sung.
Many years have passed since then, but he is still alive in our minds, she said.
“Chairman Kim Jong Un bolsters up the traditional Sino-DPRK friendship provided by the President.”
She wished the Korean people greater successes under the wise leadership of Chairman Kim Jong Un.
This year Chairman Kim Jong Un visited China three times to further promote Sino-DPRK friendly ties forged by the older generation of revolutionaries, son of Li Zaide, said.
He hoped the bilateral friendship would be bolstered up under the care of the top leaders of the two countries.
