Chairman Kim Jong Il visited the Pyongyang Children’s Department Store. Speaking highly of the fact that its officials well exhibited articles for sale as suited to children’s mentalities and kept the store clean, he looked at schoolbags carefully at the counter for school things.
After a while, he said to the officials that there were many shoulder-bags but no backpacks, and went on: A shoulder-bag checks the growth of little children and the balanced development of their body as it is hard on one shoulder and, therefore, it would be better to produce backpacks for them.
The officials were deeply moved by the meticulous love of the Chairman who was so considerate even in the smallest particulars and found a solution to them.
