Elderly people who are respected as seniors in families and society in the DPRK celebrated the International Day of Old Persons.
The day was highlighted with a variety of cultural, sports and amusement events including an artistic performance given by old people in Pyongyang and their volleyball game.
The performance and sports game aroused the admiration of viewers as the performers sang of their joy growing under the advantageous socialist system and as the players showed off their various skills, scoring points one after another as young people do.
On their holiday, congratulatory events were arranged throughout the country and old people were gratified by hospitable service at such public catering and amusement facilities as the Okryu Restaurant and Kaeson Youth Park.
