In the DPRK performances were given by the participants in the 5th April Spring People’s Art Festival on April 15 to celebrate the 105th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung at theatres in Pyongyang including Pyongyang Grand Theatre, East Pyongyang Grand Theatre and Ponghwa Art Theatre.
They were seen by senior Party, state and army officials, the chairman of a friendly party, delegates to the celebrations of the 105th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung, and citizens including youth and students.
The performers sang in praise of the undying exploits of the President who built a socialist power– independent in politics, self-supporting in the economy and self-reliant in defence– in Korea with his distinguished idea and leadership and great revolutionary practice.
The performances received high acclaim from the audience for showcasing the noble ideological and spiritual world of the Korean people, who are rushing forward towards the final victory in building a powerful socialist nation closely rallied around Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un who carries forward the cause of the great leaders with the soul and spirit of Mt. Paektu, and high profile of Juche art which is flourishing as the days go by.
