On June 8 1948, more than 30 south Korean fishing boats were engaged in fishing on the sea off Tok Islets beside Ullung Island.
Around 11:48 a squadron of US B-29 bombers appeared all of a sudden and dropped bombs and fired machine guns at the fishermen sinking 11 fishing boats and killing 14 fishermen. And many were lost and injured.
This heinous onslaught committed by the US aggressor forces in a few years after Korea’s liberation was an extension of thrice-cursed crimes of the US imperialists who had perpetrated all sorts of barbarities against the Korean people since they stretched out tentacles of their aggression upon Korea and a revelation of their wolfish nature.
