The DPRK weight lifting team captured a total of 45 medals including 26 gold medals, 13 silver medals and 6 bronze medals and took the first place in medal ranking in the 2024’s world championship of the International Weight Lifting League held in Bahrain.
The DPRK team won gold medals almost equivalent to the sum total of those gathered by teams which took places from the second up to the seventh in medal ranking.
In this championship the DPRK team set the new seven world records and produced nine world champions.
Many presses in the world spoke that the 2024’s world weight lifting championship was the stage of one-man show for the DPRK team. The DPRK became the number one power in the weight lifting world.
