Any long and excellent tradition of a nation can never be taken over and developed unless supported by the leadership of a great man who defends and enriches it.
The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un has an intention to develop our country into a world great power of advanced civilization, prosperity and development which has long history and brilliant culture and enriched our national tradition.
In his conversation with officials in October 2014, he highlighted that protection of national heritages is a patriotic work to enrich our national history and tradition.
He taught that our national tradition comprises the eternity, excellence, world of noble spirit and peculiar way of life of our nation, we should value the worthy creations and good manners and customs which are taken over throughout the generation to come cherishing the national wisdom and talents and enrich and develop them in conformity with the need of the era. He also mentioned that our Party actively encouraged the national culture and arts and national customs and had our people celebrate folk holidays joyfully in order to give full play to the Korean-nation-first spirit. Besides, he gave some detailed instructions on adherence to the principles of Juche character, historicism and scientific accuracy in the work of protecting the cultural heritages of the nation and developing the work in keeping with the developing realities and, in relation to this, set up the regular guidance system and legal basis.
