There is a story of a night in many of the nights President Kim Il Sung kept awake for the people.
An official looked impatiently at the undying light from the office room of the President and said to him: “Night is far advanced, Leader.”
Then, the President turned his eyes from a document and said that he would deal with production of confectionary and oil in the tomorrow meeting.
He said to the President repeatedly: “Night passed and day is breaking, Leader.”
After keeping silence for a moment, the President described his state of mind to him that it was his life-long desire to feed our children and people on sweets and oil enough.
The President kept awake the night through. Next day, he instructed about increasing the production of sweets and oil and supplying them to the people in a consultative meeting attended by officials in foodstuff industry.
