In March Juche 104 (2015) the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un inspected a unit of the Korean People’s Army.
On arrival, he said that “today is the significant Tree-Planting Day when President Kim Il Sung kindled the first torch of the tree planting campaign,” and it was needed to turn all mountains into treasure mountains, gold mountains, within the coming ten years. Then he planted a tree he brought with him.
Noting that patriotism is the core of a genuine patriotic mind that holds dear every tree and every blade of grass in the country and requires one to devote one’s heart and soul to looking after them, he called on the soldiers of the unit to wage a dynamic reforestation campaign with consciousness that they are laying the foundations for the wealth of the country and the happiness of future generations.
