The DPRK meaningfully celebrated the 77th birthday of Chairman Kim Jong Il.
A variety of events took place in all parts of the country including the capital city of Pyongyang.
Working people’s organizations held celebratory meetings in praise of his undying exploits, a week-long film show opened to celebrate the Day of the Shining Star and the national photo exhibition, the national art exhibition and the ice sculpture festival-2019 were held.
Many schoolchildren throughout the country were admitted to the Korean Children’s Union with a resolve to prepare themselves to become masters of the future and reliable pillars of socialist Korea under the warm embrace of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.
Performances were given by the art troupe of Koreans in Japan and the members of art groups in the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren’s Palace, adding more to the yearning for the Chairman.
