The Swiss organizing committee for the International Festival in Praise of the Great Persons of Mt Paektu, the Switzerland-Korea Committee and the Swiss Group for the Study of the Juche Idea issued a joint statement on August 4 on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of Korea’s liberation.
The statement said:
Led by President Kim Il Sung, the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army liberated Korea from the Japanese colonial rule on August 15 1945.
The Korean nation could revive thanks to the liberation.
The Korean people highly praised President Kim Il Sung, who brought about Korea’s freedom and independence, as the Sun of the nation.
Korea’s liberation became a fine example of the national liberation struggle in colonial countries.
Great honour to President Kim Il Sung, benevolent liberator of Korea!
